originate from a small town of Mazeikiai in Lithuania and am currently a UK based black and white portrait photographer. My endeavor into photography began after one of the most heart-breaking events in my life that made me view sadness and loneliness in a different light- not viewing these emotions as something entirely negative but as fundamental and almost necessary experiences in life that are the polar opposite of happiness. These emotions of sadness and loneliness are something (which I think), that allow you to realise what happiness truly is, and what it means. As such, I believe that sadness and loneliness can hold a certain beauty to them- something that I aim to convey in my black and white film portraits. In addition, I also like to incorporate poetry from various poets into my work, which helps to explain the content of my portraits.
